Dr. Rentia Fourie is a South African Medico-Legal Association (SAMLA) member.

She enjoys assisting in medico-legal matters, representing claimants and defendants in personal injury and clinical negligence actions. 

Dr. Fourie is a  cardiothoracic surgeon with expertise in the surgical management of individuals with heart and aortic conditions and lung disease. She is a specialist at interpreting echocardiograms, angiograms, and myocardial perfusion scans and can decipher what aortic surgery/heart surgery/thoracic surgery is necessary and appropriate. Further, her extensive experience in the operating theatre means she can review operation notes and assess the practical nature of the cardiothoracic procedures performed. She has extensive Intensive Care Unit experience.
